The Vacuum Bag Filler

Vacuum bag filling was originated by Modern Machine Shop 60 years ago and has been the industry leader by which all vacuum bagging is measured. The accomplishments in the field of vacuum packaging go back to the pre-World War II era when can, box, drum, and explosive filling were extensively used for military applications. Features of the Modern Machine Shop Vacuum Bag Filler

• Fills Kraft or vapor barrier bags, in either paper, plastic or Tyvek(TM)

• Welded aluminum shroud with hand-adjustable bottom and side liners

• Steel vacuum filter tank built in for faster reaction times and easy operation

• Control valves and electronics are encased in a NEMA 12 enclosure. NEMA 4 and explosion-proof enclosures are also available.

• Self-cleaning and recycling mechanism for cleanliness and reduction of product waste

• All components are off-the-shelf and readily available to lower production and maintenance costs.

• Four-program selector switch is provided for flexibility, allowing several products to be filled on the same machine.

• Programmable electronic scale with optional RS-232 port

• Automatic scale zeroing for more accurate filling

• Operator controls are clearly marked pushbutton and selector switches to simplify machine operation.

Standard Vacuum Pump Assembly

• 15 HP, 220/440 Volt, 3 Phase motor. Special voltage ratings are also available.

• Single or two-stage vacuum pump provides up to 29" Hg of vacuum.

• Liquid-ring pump design minimizes wear, and reduces maintenance costs and downtime.
